Mineola chamber of commerce honors year’s best supporters
Mineola Chamber of Commerce recognized individuals and entities that were instrumental in helping the chamber with its mission and events during 2019.
Bettie Bywater was chosen as the volunteer of the year, described as the chamber’s “most prolific volunteer” during 2019.
The Mineola Community Bank was named the top chamber member supporter, led by Brittany Bessonett, who served on the chamber board, and many event sponsorships.
A certificate of appreciation was presented to James Pogue for all his hard work during chamber events.
Kitchens Hardware was awarded new member of the year for its participation and hosting events.
Three 30-year awards were presented, to Sam Curry as individual member, the City of Mineola as organization and UT Health as business member.
Awards were presented at a dinner Jan. 30.
