Land's End Fire-Rescue proudly announces a fire department milestone; 1,000 calls for service answered since our inception in 2004. Help us celebrate by joining us in an open house Saturday, May 18th 2013 at the main fire station on 1970, between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

The Quitman Rotary Club is bringing Chickfil A to Quitman on Thursday, May 23 from 11:00 - 1:00. $7.00 buys an original chicken sandwich, and $10.00 buys two chicken sandwiches. To ensure your order, tickets can be bought in advance from any Rotarian. Meals will also be available on the courthouse square. All proceeds will benefit the Rotary Club's college scholarship fund.
Dedication of the Blue Star Memorial By-Way Marker is scheduled for Saturday, May 25 at 2:00 at the Iris Garden Club Park in Golden. Blue Star Memorials pay tribute to all women and men who have served, are serving and will serve in the future. The ceremony will include music, speakers, representatives from the Armed Forces, flags and spirit. Everyone is invited to attend.
