Mineola girls CC team to state


For the first time in school history, Mineola is sending a Cross Country team to state in Round Rock at Old Settlers Park Nov. 3.

The Mineola girls finished tied for second place with Pilot Point with 146 points.  In Cross Country to break the tie it goes to the sixth place girl and Emily Wiley from Mineola beat Pilot Point’s sixth place girl for Mineola to finish second and just nine points away from winning first place. 

The Class 3A girls will run at 12:10 p.m.

David Amador also finished in the Top 20 to qualify as an individual for the state meet. 

Amador will be running in the boys final at 12:40 p.m.
