Mineola HS showcasing CTE programs
Mineola ISD will showcase new Career and Technical Education programs and facilities on Monday, Nov. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Mineola High School.
The new programs include welding, with equipment provided by a $276,000 JET grant from the Texas Workforce Commission, and industrial maintenance, with over $600,00 funding from the Texas Education Agency Carl Perkins Reserve grant.
Expanded programs in health science and automotive technology will also be showcased along with information technology and education pathways.
The public is invited to attend, tour new facilities and visit with staff and students. A meal will be served at 6:30 p.m. provided by Mineola Community Bank and Automatic Gas Co.
The expanded programs serve more than 400 students and are also offered to students from Alba-Golden, Yantis, Grand Saline and Lindale.
