Hello, Fall! We have had fun time watching children and their families find items in our display case and receive a reward. Lots of giggles and “oh, look, there it is!”

If weather permits, we will be closing early, Thursday, Oct. 31, Halloween, to join the fun downtown. We will be closing at 4:30 p.m.  If weather doesn’t cooperate, we will keep our regular hours.

We no longer have SimplyE, a state funded eBook platform. Our new eBook platform is Boundless, and it is even easier to use with some settings to help make the experience more family friendly. We still offer Freading as another eBook platform. All you need is a device that will let you download an app and an active library card with Mineola Memorial Library.

Homeschool Heroes is back. Their next meeting is Friday, Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. Come meet other homeschool families, network, and enjoy an activity together. It’s lots of fun.

Toddler Story time continues on Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m. for the 18 month to 3 year old crowd and their parent or caregiver. Wednesday mornings at 10 is preschool story time for the 3-5 year old group and their parent or caregiver.

Saturday, Nov. 2 at 10:30 a.m. is the Mineola Crafting and Art Club. Bring your portable project and enjoy fellowship with others as everyone works on their projects.

Our donation policy for materials such as books or audio books is three boxes per family per day. Please, do not leave items on any of the porches. Call if you need more details, 903-569-2767.

Remember, the Mineola Memorial Library is a 501(c)3 non-profit and does not receive any money from the city or the county. Your donations may be tax-deductible. We received a donation from Mineola Community Chest and an anonymous donor.
