Thank you all so very much for a tremendous 2017! Here’s wishing everyone a happy and prosperous New Year!

In case you were wondering, we have added 453 new patrons making the total of active library patrons 3,614. We have offered 400 programs which were attended by 2,842 people. The library has been visited at least 22,756 times and circulated 39,656 items saving our patrons $940,453. We also had numerous uses of our wi-fi and patron access stations for computers. And you just thought we sat around reading books.

Our Books for Fines made it possible to provide 106 books to Caring & Sharing this year. Thank you to all who participated in this endeavor. Thank you to all who attended our Annual Board Meeting and Open House. A giant thank you to all the Friends who provided such yummy refreshments and the entertainment of Gib Maynard, Elvis tribute artist.

We could not do this without generous support from our community, the Meredith Foundation, KMOO radio, the Wood County Monitor, and many others. We are supported by a fantastic library board and the Friends of the Library.

We appreciate all the kind words and snacks that you have given to us this month of December.

We will be closed Saturday and will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 2.

Brown Hearing will be here on Wednesday, Jan. 3 beginning at 10 a.m.

The Friends of the Library will meet Thursday, January 4 at 1 p.m. in the library.
