Fall has arrived! These cooler temperatures are a welcome relief from the heat. It is also good book reading weather.

Please join the Friends of the Library on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 1 p.m. for a talk on How to Immune Boost Your Holidays presented by Jennifer Kindle. After the presentation there will be light refreshments and a business meeting about upcoming Friends activities.

Saturday, Nov. 9 from 1-3 p.m. author S. Richards will be here to present his book Man at 50: a Journey of Crisis, Revelation and Survival. Stop by and meet him, learn about him, and purchase a book to keep or give as a gift.

Once again the library is conducting a book drive to benefit Caring and Sharing. Purchase a new book for a child infant to age 12 and drop it off at the library. If you do not want to do the shopping, a cash donation is accepted and the library will purchase a book with the donation. Help us reach our goal of 200 books. We will accept books through Dec. 7.

Programs continue throughout the week with Pre School Story Time on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. for children ages 3, 4, and 5 with a parent; After School on Tuesdays at 4 p.m. for children in kindergarten through high school; Toddler Time on Wednesday mornings at 10:15 a.m. for children 18m to 3 years with parent; and Baby Bounce on Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. for infants to 18m with parent.

American Girls will meet this month on Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. to have fun with Caroline from 1812. You must register by Wednesday, Nov. 6 in order to attend.

The library book club is reading Expiration Date by Devon Delaney. They will meet Thursday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m. to discuss. At this meeting, and not before, the next book selection will be revealed.

The library wishes to thank Mr. Davenport for trimming the trees with his pole-saw and reaching the limbs Mz. Mary could not.

The library received a donation from Linda Wray.

The Mineola Memorial Library is a 501(c)3, non profit.
