Mineola Memorial Library Notes

Here we are in May. Things are beginning to open up based on Governor Abbott’s directives, Judge Lucy Hebron’s instructions, availability of cleaning supplies and comfort level of establishment. Thank goodness, we have been given the choice as to when to resume normal operations.

The Mineola Memorial Library is offering curbside pickup on Tuesdays from 2-4 p.m., Thursdays from 2-4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Go online and reserve books or call the library and we’ll help you get your items reserved.

To reserve a book online go to the library’s website. In the upper right hand corner is a place to log in using your library card number (without the “p”) and the password is your telephone number on file with us. Once in, go to the card catalog located about halfway down the home page of the website. There you may search for items, find one you like, click on the title and look for the “reserve” button about the middle of the line and click on it. Item reserved. When the item is ready to be picked up, the library staff will give you a call.

For curbside pickup, park at the library and call us (903-569-2767) and let us know who you are and that you have arrived to pick up your reserves. We will then take them out to you. No need to leave your vehicle.

For returns, the book and movie drops are open and located on the library’s front porch.

Computers are available by appointment only. Call the library to reserve a one-hour time slot. At your appointment time, enter by the front door. You will have to knock to let us know you have arrived. Wearing of masks is encouraged and appreciated.

As always, we have e-books available and those may also be found on the catalog page accessed through our website.

Curbside and computers by appointment will continue until cleaning supplies become more readily available. We want a clean environment for our patrons and our staff.

Until we meet again, stay safe, wash your hands and remember personal space.
