Mineola Memorial Library Notes
Greetings to all. Hope you are all well. If something has happened and you are not well, please, do not visit the library. If you have items checked out, simply call the library and ask if we can either renew or extend the due date. We do not need details, we want to work with you during this crazy time.
To keep up with the seasons, we have changed out our window panels to reflect “winter” or “snow.” We hope you enjoy the transitions we make monthly.
Did you get to watch the movie “News of the World” while it played at the Historic Select Theater? Would you like to read the book? We have several copies available for check out.
Remember our Grab and Go activities we have made available for your enjoyment. They are geared for the under 12 crowd, but all ages may enjoy them. As it happens, Jan. 21 is National Squirrel Appreciation Day, and we have an activity that involves coloring, glue and a fun little rhyme. Please watch for that on our bench outside the library.
As tax time approaches, we remind you to consult with a tax-preparer for any questions you may have. We can help you locate forms on the IRS website as we do not have any paper copies, but that is the extent of our knowledge of taxes. Let me rephrase that, we can help you to the IRS website, we can help you print the forms you request, we cannot tell you if they are the correct forms or how to complete them.
The Mineola Memorial Library is a 501(c)3, non-profit and your donations may be tax-deductible. We thank Roy Devlin, Linda Rhodes, Diana Bankhead, Carol Hollen, and the Royal Leopard for their support.
