We are in the final stretch of 2021. Can you believe it?

We are hosting our Annual Open House on Thursday, Dec. 9 from 4 until 6 p.m. Please stop by the Mineola Memorial Library at 4 p.m. for our State of the Library Address delivered by our board chair, then stay for some light refreshments, musical entertainment, and Santa Claus may stop by after 5 p.m.

Our staff will be creating different Christmas displays representing Christmases past. Each staff member will present a display reflecting a past Christmas.

After we close on Thursday, Dec. 9, we will host Pajama Story Time at 6:30 p.m. Santa Claus will be the guest reader. This program offered by the Friends of the Mineola Memorial Library is for families with children ages 4 to 8 years.

We have a suggestion box located near our door for you to give us ideas of what you might like to see in the library or have the library offer as a program or event. You can also leave us a note about what you like best about our library.

As we wind down this year, be aware we will be closed Dec. 24, 25, and 31 and Jan. 1 for the holidays.

Remember, the Mineola Memorial Library is a 501(c)3, non-profit and your donations may be tax-deductible.
