We made it into January! Programs have resumed at the library. Remember, Toddler Time on Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m. for 18 month to 3 year olds with their parent/caregiver. Wednesday is Pre School Story Time for the 3ish, and 5 year olds with parent/caregiver at 10 a.m.

American Girls will meet again in February on the 11th to learn about Addie from 1864 and what school might have been like for her. This program is for girls 7 and older with their mom. Registration/sign-ups are a must so there will be supplies for activities and snacks. You can register by calling the library at 903-569-2767. Registration closes Feb. 9.

The Friends of the Mineola Memorial Library will host a book sale/fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 21 beginning at 9 a.m. at 1721 N. Pacific if the weather cooperates. Watch their Facebook page for more information.

Want to volunteer somewhere but do not have a lot of time? Consider adopting a set of bookshelves at the library to help maintain. Maintenance involves dusting the shelves, fronting the books and making sure they are in shelf order (we’ll teach you that part). If you would like, we’ll even put your first name over the shelves you adopt. Once you get the hang of shelf reading (the hardest part), this effort will require about 20 minutes (or more depending on how many units you adopt).

The Mineola Memorial Library is located at 301 N. Pacific. Our telephone number is 903-569-2767. Find us online at www.mineolalibrary.com or on Facebook.

Remember, the Mineola Memorial Library is a 501(c)3, non-profit and your donations may be tax deductible. We have received donations from Diane Pitkin and David Lane, Linda Rhodes, and Roy and Shirley Devlin. We have received a memorial donation for Kenneth and Lou Wagner from Pete and Dianne Smith.
