Thank you very much to all of you who participated in the Second Annual Restaurant Week. We truly appreciate the efforts of the committee who put this together, the participating businesses, and the consumers who enjoyed good meals and helped the library at the same time.
Thank you to the Meredith Foundation for honoring our grant request for funding. We will continue to serve the community thanks to the support of the Meredith Foundation. We can’t wait to show you what this new year will bring.
Our programs continue including Toddler Tuesdays at 9 a.m., Preschool Story Time on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and Home-school Heroes the first and third Fridays at 10 a.m. We are beginning to plan for our summer Camp We Read which will bring more reading challenges and fun programs.
An early heads up, the library will be closed Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30 for the holiday weekend. Yes, this is a first. We’ll see how it goes.
There will be a Bake Sale on Friday, March 29 and we will try to have a Book Sale in March, too. Please, keep an eye on our Facebook page as well as our website for information as the time draws closer.
Please, remember the Mineola Memorial Library is a 501(c)3, non-profit. Your tax dollars do not fund us, but your generous donations help us provide materials, programs and internet access to the community, and those donations may be tax-deductible.
We received a memorial donation for Billie Dowell from First Baptist Church of Golden.
