Mineola Pilots to have old-fashioned Valentine’s

Posted

“Be My Valentine” will be the theme for the Pilot Club of Mineola’s Valentine Dinner Dance set for Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Mineola Civic Center.

Dale Cummings of East Texas will sing famous love songs for this “old-fashioned” Valentine’s event.

Last year’s silent auction was changed to a raffle of “big bucket” items and this will be continued for the 2018 dinner-dance. A Country Store was added and will feature lots of food items for Super Bowl parties. Celebrity waiters from around the area are currently being selected. Waiters receive tips for their services and in turn donate the tips to the Mineola Pilot Club.

The MHS Anchor Club will again have their “Pretty Purses” fundraiser. For $20, participants may buy their favorite purse and one lucky winner will receive a designer handbag.

Cost for individuals will still be $20; table for six is $120 and for eight is $160. For reservations, call Diane Holmes at 903-343-7570. Reservation deadline is Jan. 29. The ticket price buys a meal, entertainment and all the fun you can have. All funds raised from this 15th annual event help the Mineola Pilot Club to provide service to the Mineola area.
