Mineola police reports for the past week included:

May 16 - Two suspicious vehicles were reported parked together at the Civic Center at 7:56 p.m. An officer arrived and found that the two drivers were just hanging out. One of the drivers did not have a valid driver’s license, so he left his vehicle until he could have someone pick it up.

A disturbance was reported on Dubose Street at 12:09 p.m. An officer arrived and found a man had left in a woman’s vehicle and pushed her. The woman wanted him issued a criminal trespassed warning from the property.

A 911 call was received at 9:57 a.m. at the Civic Center and the call was lost. The department could not get anyone to answer. An officer was dispatched and a woman said she was having phone problems.

Jacqueline Dee Courson, 45, Mineola was arrested for possession of a controlled substance at 4:01 a.m. Courson was stopped at the intersection of West Blair and Second Street for a traffic violation and was in possession of methamphetamine.

May 15 - A 911 call was received with a small child on the phone. The call was lost and the department could not contact the caller. An officer responded to the residence on Cage Street and found a child had been playing with the phone.

A complaint was received at 5:07 p.m. that a dog was in a car at Walmart with the windows up and the vehicle was parked in a fire lane. When an officer arrived the vehicle was no longer there, but the driver later went to the police department and said his windows were cracked and he was not in a fire lane.

A man requested a welfare check for his mother who lives on Circle Drive because he was unable to contact her on the phone. She was located and told to contact her son.

An officer met with a man on East McDonald Street that sold some items but was not paid at 9:17 a.m. Police arrested the man was referred to the justice of the peace court for a civil issue.

May 14 - Jodie Lynn Denton, 37 of Grand Saline for possession of a controlled substance at 6:49 p.m. Denton was stopped on East Buchanan for a traffic violation. An officer found paraphernalia in her possession and arrested her, but when she arrived at jail she also had methamphetamine hidden in her clothes.

A dog was reported in a car at Walmart with the windows rolled up at 5:54 p.m. An officer talked with the owner as they were leaving, the dog was fine.

Bill Charles Neal, 46,Mineola was arrested for a local harassment warrant at 4:27 p.m.

A dog was reported in a vehicle on South Johnson Street at 4:09 p.m. The dog owner was leaving when the officer arrived.

Walmart reported a theft seen on video that occurred a few days prior. This report is under investigation.

Walmart reported a theft that was captured by video at 2:20 p.m. This report is under investigation.

An officer assisted a motorist by changing his flat tire at Johnson Street and Greenville Street.

Walmart reported a theft that was captured on video from May 6. This report is under investigation.

A man turned in a wallet that was found in the street on West Broad Street. A woman was contacted and she picked the wallet up.

A woman reported receiving harassing phone calls on W. Kilpatrick Street at 9:26 a.m.

A man called requesting a suicide hotline at 12:39 a.m. An officer responded and arrived at Freeman Street, talked to the man and then requested an ambulance. The man was transported by an ambulance to the hospital for help.

May 13 - A man reported his nephew took a vehicle without permission on North Line Street at 9:32 p.m. An officer spoke with the nephew and advised him to return the vehicle.

A verbal disturbance was reported in the Sonic parking lot between a man and woman at 4:09 p.m. An officer responded, the two left in separate vehicles.

May 12 - A argument was reported on Second Street at 8:46 p.m. An officer responded and found that the issue began as a verbal argument and then the boyfriend pushed his girlfriend. The boyfriend left for the night and she did not wish to file charges. A report was written for family violence purposes.

Police arrested Lance Dean Davis, 31 Mineola was arrested for no proof of liability insurance at 8:22 p.m. An officer stopped Davis for backing when unsafe on South Pacific Street.

A burn violation was reported on West Broad Street at 4:58 p.m. An officer responded and found the tenants did not have a burn permit. They were asked to put the fire out and get a permit during the week.

A woman reported verbal abuse of a child at the Express Wash Laundry on North Pacific Street at 12:49 p.m. An officer responded, but did not find anyone.

May 11 - A caller reported someone being loud at the civic center and disturbing residents on Molly Lane at 11:46 p.m. An officer responded but was unable to find anyone being loud.

Loud music was reported at a residence on West McDonald at 11 p.m. The homeowner was contacted and given a verbal warning.

Criminal mischief was reported on Graham Street at 8:44 p.m. A rock was thrown at a window this report is under investigation.

A reckless driver was reported on North Newsom Street at 6:40 p.m. An officer located the driver when the elderly man was already back to his driveway. The officer assisted the man into his residence.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at a residence on Giles Street with bright head lights on and someone was playing loud music from the vehicle at 12:08 a.m. The vehicle left before officers arrived, however the caller reported it was a relative.

May 10 - A disturbance was reported at the Mineola Youth Foundation Park at 8:33 p.m. A criminal trespass was issued to a man and his wife and an assault report is under investigation.

City National Bank reported an issue with a woman inside the bank using foul language and acting strange at 2:05 p.m. An officer responded and asked the woman to leave left with no problem.

A city employee found a small amount of methamphetamine in the parking lot of the train depot at 12:40 p.m. The methamphetamine was turned over to the police for disposal.

A man reported at 10:59 a.m. that his wife was supposed to follow him home but she did not make it. The department put out a broadcast to look for her. The police were notified by Wood County Sheriff’s Department that she was at the courthouse for court.

A woman on University Street reported at 10:40 a.m. two bicycles stolen from her yard. Dow Chevrolet requested a man to be trespassed from their property after repeated harassment. The man was later issued a criminal trespassing warning.

Russell Cummings Moreland, 58 of Mineola was arrested for driving while under the influence at 12:09 a.m. after a traffic stop at North Pacific Street. When he failed to signal the required distance at the intersection of East Patten and North Pacific Street.
