June 27 - A resident on East Loop 564 reported damage to their mailbox at 2:44 p.m.
June 26 - A suspicious person was reported in the Walmart parking lot. The man had been parked in a truck for several hours he was asked to leave.
A bank debit card was found in a yard on Pamela Drive. The owner was contacted and the card was returned.
An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation where a woman was believed to be intoxicated. She was detained for a DWI investigation and after further investigation the woman was released.
June 25 - A reckless driver was reported at 6:26 a.m. driving at a high rate of speed toward the city on Highway 69 heading south. An officer witnessed the vehicle as it entered the city limits and followed it. The officer did not witness any traffic violation.
Dispatch received multiply 9-1-1 hangs up from a residence on North Johnson at 7:28 a.m. When the officer arrived it was discovered that a known man took a female’s phone at the location, causing an argument. No one file charges and the phone was returned.
A suspicious person was reported at the Mineola Civic Center walking back and forth by the splash pad. An officer responded and found the young man with some family members at the park.
A man reported criminal mischief when he hired another man to help him with some work at the 400 block of West Broad Street. The man became upset and damaged property at the location. The reporting party did not want to file charges. An officer made contact with the suspect.
A resident on the East Loop 564 reported someone left a bag of food in her mailbox. The food was disposed of.
A man was reported staying in this truck in the parking lot of Walmart. An officer made contact and the man stated he would be leaving the following morning.
A restaurant on East Broad Street reported a man, woman and child that were eating together walking out of the restaurant without paying. This case is under investigation.
A citizen reported he walked by a vehicle in the parking lot of the nature preserve and witnessed a man rolling a joint. An officer responded and found the 19-year-old male. The male received a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and a citation for minor in possession of alcohol.
June 24 - Loud music was reported on Gerald Street. The officer found the source of the music and asked the person to turn the music down.
A reckless driver was reported was reported on West Kilpatrick Street. An officer responded, but did not find the vehicle.
June 23 - A woman reported several people standing out by a car at 12:01 a.m. in the roadway on West Highway 80. Wood County Sheriff’s Office was contacted because the incident was outside city limits.
A welfare concern was reported when a couple was sitting on the railroad tracks on Front Street, on a blanket. An officer responded and found the two leaving when the officer arrived.
A man was reported to be standing outside a business on East Broad Street that appeared to be acting strange. An officer responded and found the man was wanted on a warrant in Idaho. Idaho would not extradite the subject. The man left the location.
A welfare concern was reported in reference to a resident on Bromberg Street concerning comments on Facebook about harming themselves. An officer responded to the call and reported the man was fine.
A debit card was turned in by a citizen. The owner was found and the card was returned.
A business on Northeast Loop 564 reported a person in a vehicle had poured pills out on the ground. An officer responded and found the vehicle to be gone. The officer checked the pills and found them to be over the counter medication, the pills were disposed of.
A purse was turned in that was left at a business. The woman was found and the purse was returned.
Pct. 2 constables arrested Gina Suzanne Bray, 51 of Alba on a city warrant for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bray was transported to the police department by Constable Smith and booked by police.
June 22 - A disturbance was reported near the 500 block of North Newsom Street. A husband and wife both said they were assaulted by each other. They did not want to file charges and signed a non- prosecution. A report was filed on the family violence.
A woman reported when she turned into a business on North Pacific Street, a man got upset and started giving her hand gestures and cursing her. An officer attempted to locate the vehicle but was unsuccessful.
An officer assisted EMS with a medical call on Sycamore Street.
A theft was reported near the 500 block of North Johnson Street. The complainant reported having an estate sale and items came up missing. During the officer’s investigation, it was found to be a civil matter between family members.
A welfare concern was reported when a woman was reportedly having medical issues and leaning over her car at a business near the 100 block of North Pacific Street. Medical services were contacted and the woman was transported.
June 21 - A reckless driver was reported at West Broad Street and Loop 564. An officer followed the vehicle, but did not witness any violation.
A reckless driver was reported on East Broad Street. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle. Wood County Sheriff’s Office was contacted.
A welfare concern was reported for a couple on Peachtree. An officer spoke with neighbors about the residents and found they had been seen in and out of the residence in the past week.
Officers assisted the fire department and medical services when a man fell from a ladder near the 300 block of McDaniel Street the man was transported to the hospital.
A reckless driver was reported in an 18 wheeler traveling southbound on Highway 69 toward the city. The man reported he pulled off the roadway to call the police and lost sight of the vehicle. The 18 wheeler reportedly ran the caller off the roadway. The officer was unable to locate the truck.
Officers assisted medical services with a fall near the 400 block of Meredith Street. The resident was transported to the hospital.
A noise complaint was reported on Elliott Street. The complainant reported someone was hammering and sawing. An officer responded and spoke with the man. He stopped for the night.
A welfare concern was reported at the river bridges on Highway 69 south. A man reported he saw a motorcycle laid over in the ditch. An officer responded but did not find the motorcycle.
Officers responded to a welfare concern near the 400 block of North Line Street when a man called wanting to hurt himself. The man was transported by medical services.
