Sept. 19 – At 7:16 a.m. a reckless driver was reported to be possibly intoxicated on North Pacific Street. An officer was able to find the vehicle and get it stopped on Greenville Avenue. EMS was contacted and it was determined to be a medical issue.

A dog bite was reported by a man walking at University and Giles Street at 8:30 a.m. The man was bitten by two dogs that were running loose. He sustained minor injuries from the bites and the dogs were picked up by animal control and placed in quarantine for 10 days.

At 9:21 a.m. a 911 call was received on Sue Lane. The dispatcher was unable to call the caller back and an officer responded to the residence and found the person had accidentally hit an alarm on his phone.

At 10:38 a.m. a suspicious vehicle was reported on South Newsom Street. When a citizen reported the vehicle was parked in the roadway, he went to check on the driver. The driver threw the vehicle in reverse and started driving all over the roadway. An officer located the vehicle and the woman said she was looking for an old friend’s residence.

At 12:01 p.m. a resident on Blair Street reported she was outside when her toddler locked the door to the home from the inside and locked her outside. The landlord was contacted to bring a key, but the toddler finally unlocked the door before the landlord arrived.

9:34: p.m. Officers assisted EMS and first responders with a medical case on University Street.

10:11 p.m. Officers again assisted EMS on a medical call on University Street.

Sept. 18 – At 2:14 a.m. officers investigated a suspicious person report on Freeman Street. The caller reported a male and female walking up and down the street and going into yards. The officers did not locate them.

At 8:57 a.m. a welfare concern was reported when a student had a heated argument on the phone with a parent. The student left school and officers went to the home and checked on the student and parent. Everything was fine and the student reported he was sick.

A reckless drivers was reported on South Pacific Street at 2:36 p.m. The vehicle pulled into a business. An officer responded to the call, but did not locate the vehicle.

At 4:42 p.m. Susanne Antionette Gailes, 33 of Mineola was arrested for driving while license invalid (enhanced) after she was stopped because the officer had knowledge she did not have a license and he saw her driving on Patten Street.

Miguel Angel Gonzalea, 36 of Mineola was arrested at 7:21 p.m. for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) after he was detained by the officer for suspicious activity on West Broad Street.

Sept. 17 – At 12:28 a.m. an officer assisted EMS on a medical call on North Johnson Street.

4:51 a.m. A business on North Pacific Street reported a person in the parking lot in a vehicle for over an hour. The reporting party attempted to wake the person up, but could not. An officer responded to the call and found the man taking a nap. The man remained in the parking lot to sleep.

At 11:09 a.m. a reckless truck driver was reported at Broad and Pacific Street. The complainant reported the truck ran the red light and cut several cars off, then turned down the alley south of the intersection. An officer responded but the truck was not there when he arrived.

At 3:07 p.m. a disturbance was reported behind the Relax Inn on East Broad Street. Officers responded and found two known individuals had been arguing. The boyfriend and girlfriend had been kicked out of the motel and waiting for a ride.

Samantha Jo Melvin, 28 of Mineola was arrested at 7:05 p.m. for driving while license invalid (enhanced) after she was stopped for a traffic violation at West Broad and Line Street.

At 8:25 p.m. a disturbance was reported on North Pacific Street between a man and woman. Officers responded and found the two on Good Street. It was verbal only.

At 11:24 p.m. An officer assisted EMS on a medical call on McWhorter Street.

Sept. 16 – At 7:33 a.m. An officer assisted a Wood County Deputy to issue a criminal trespass warning to a man on Ivey Street in reference to an incident that occurred in the county.

At 3:30 p.m. a reckless driver was reported on East Broad Street that had run off the roadway into a ditch. Officers responded to the call and turned the scene over to DPS.

Jesse Lee Hasten, 26 of Mineola was arrested at 5:20 p.m. for criminal trespass and criminal mischief when a disturbance was reported on Elliott Street when Hasten was on the property that he was previously trespassed and he threw a block at a vehicle, causing damage to the vehicle.

Sept. 15 – At 3:22 a.m. a woman reported to an officer witnessing someone with a light looking under the hood of a vehicle at a business on East Broad Street. The officer fount two vehicles broken down, but one vehicle had headlights on. The key holder of the business was notified and went to the scene. No one was found at the location.

At 8:25 p.m. an officer was waived down by a witness reporting a possible intoxicated driver on East Broad Street. The officer located the vehicle and found the driver had been eating while driving and was not intoxicated.

At 2:40 p.m. a witness reported a dog in a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot. An officer responded to the call but the vehicle was gone when he arrived.

At 2:31 p.m. a theft was reported when a resident on Stone Street reported their grandson took money from them. They did not wish to file charges.

At 3:06 p.m. a suspicious man was reported sitting in a vehicle at a vacant house on West Broad for approximately 2 hours. An officer responded and found the man was meeting with the owner of the property.

At 8:40 an officer assisted EMS on a medical call on Wren Street.

A suspicious vehicle was reported sitting in the parking lot of a church on Wigley Street at 9:22 p.m. An officer checked on the vehicle and found it to be a teenager waiting for his girlfriend to call him.

Sept. 14 – At 7:41 a.m. a business on Greenville Avenue reported a woman asleep near a vehicle in the parking lot. An officer checked on the woman and found she was an employee at the business and she had worked all night. She had locked her keys in her car and was waiting for her husband to pick her up.

A wallet was located near the gas pumps at Brookshire’s and turned in to the police at 12:54 p.m. The owner was contacted and the wallet returned.

At 1:02 p.m a wallet was found on the roadway on North Pacific Street by a man walking and turned in to the police department. The owner was located and the wallet returned.

At 1:31 p.m. a resident on Wells Street reported her ex-husband was harassing her and she was afraid of him. A direct patrol was issued for her residence.

At 4:01 p.m. a resident on Landers Street reported a verbal disagreement and requested an officer. An officer responded and spoke with both parties.

Kayla Elizabeth Tennyson, 28 of Mineola was arrested for a Dallas County warrant at 4:34 p.m. Tennyson was stopped on North Pacific Street by an officer for a traffic violation and found to have an active warrant for resisting arrest, search or transport.

At 6:45 p.m. a man reported he went to his ex-girlfriend’s residence on Rainbow Lane to retrieve his clothing, but while there an argument ensured and the assaulted him. He said he assaulted her back. An officer met with the woman and man at different locations to investigate the disturbance between the two. Both did not wish to file charges and signed a waiver of non-prosecution. A scratch was the only injury and family violence report was filed.

At 7:24 p.m. loud music was reported on West Kilpatrick Street. An officer responded to the location but found the music was not too loud.

At 7:36 p.m. a resident on Elliott Street reported a neighbor on South Street was being evicted by the constable and the neighbor was not cursing them and tearing things up. The JP2 Constable reported he had the incident under control.

At 9:21 p.m. Joey Evat Tave, 32 of Mineola was arrested at a South Pacific business for unlawfully carrying a weapon on premises licensed to sell alcohol, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Officers were walking into a business and noticed a car parked at the business with an opened alcoholic beverage in the driver’s cup holder. While investigating the situation, the vehicle was found to belong to Tave who was in the store at the time. Officers asked Tave outside to speak with him. While doing so the officer witnessed a baggy of marijuana hanging from Tave’s pants pockets. He also had a 9mm handgun in his waistband and cocaine in his shirt pocket.

At 10:59 p.m. a South Street resident reported a known man was circling her home in a truck. She was concerned because a family member warned her the subject was coming to her residence with a gun. She was concerned for her safety. The subject left before the officers arrived.

They remained in the area and attempted to locate the subject.

Sept. 13 – At 4:22 a.m. a man requested a welfare check on his wife who was at a residence on North Newsom. The woman was located and everything was fine.

At 10:39 a.m. a resident reported she had received a phone call advising she had won money. The caller wanted her to meet them at the Walmart parking lot. The resident did not meet the caller, but wanted to report the scam.

11:32 a.m. a report was received involving a man in a UHaul truck at the Walmart parking lot asking for money. An officer responded to the location but the man had left before the officer arrived.

1:47 p.m. a welfare concern was reported when a man stated he was calling a friend and it sounded as if the phone was being answered, but no one could talk. The friend was located on Goodson Circle and everything was fine.
