Mineola Police Department activities Sept. 30 to Oct. 3:

OCT 3 – At 12:12 a.m. Cody Heith Heidleberg, 28 of Mineola was arrested for driving while license suspended and no liability insurance. Heidleberg was stopped on Belcher Street after the officer observed him driving and the officer had knowledge he did not have a valid driver’s license.

At 7:19 a.m. a reckless driver was reported on South Pacific Street that was unable to maintain a single lane. An officer responded to the area, but did not locate the vehicle that was described.

At 12:08 p.m. an oversized load 18 wheeler was reported to be a reckless driver on West Broad Street. The caller reported the truck could not maintain a single lane. An officer responded to the area but did not locate the vehicle.

At 4:47 p.m. a business on the NW Loop 564 reported a theft of property.

At 6:01 p.m. Lindale P.D. reported an officer was following a vehicle that was unable to maintain a single lane of traffic. The vehicle stopped at EZ Mart and the officer made contact with the woman until an officer arrived. The driver was determined to be an elderly female that was disoriented and not intoxicated. The woman was transported to the police department where her son picked her up.

At 10:07 p.m. a suspicious vehicle was checked on by an officer at the civic center. A woman was letting her child play on the playground.

At 10:43 p.m. several young teenagers were reported to be in the street on Pegues being loud. An officer checked the area but did not locate the teenagers.

10:47 p.m. An officer provided assistance to a woman that was cleaning a building on North Pacific Street. She reported a vehicle pulled up twice while she was there. An officer responded but the vehicle left before his arrival. The officer stayed with the woman until she was able to leave in her vehicle.

At 11:14 p.m. A man reported he came home on Bromberg Street and found that his girlfriend had taken several items that belonged to him. An officer responded and talked to the man. This was a civil issue.

OCT 2 – At 9:10 a.m. A criminal mischief was reported on Sue Lane when a resident reported someone spray painted the windows on her residence.

At 11:51 a.m. A hit and run was reported in the Pizza Hut parking lot.

At 3:14 p.m. A woman went to the police department to report someone was following her. While she was there the officer realized the vehicle she was driving was the vehicle involved in the hit and run at Pizza Hut. The woman was issued two citations which consisted of no liability insurance and reckless damage.

At 7:14 p.m. A public assist was requested when a female was not allowed on the train because she had a service cat, but could not provide the proper written documentation. Ministerial Alliance approved a room, but the motel would not allow a service cat without documentation. The woman was allowed to sleep in the lobby of the police department until the following morning when she was allowed on the train.

At 7:41 p.m. A reckless driver was reportedly driving on the wrong side of the road on West Broad Street in a truck coming into the city. An officer responded to the area to attempt to locate the truck, but was unable to locate it. The caller could not provide a description.

OCT. 1 – At 7:46 a.m. a welfare concern was received in reference to an elderly woman sitting on the side of the road on West Broad Street. An officer responded to the area, but did not find the woman.

At 8:25 a.m. A resident on North Johnson Street reported a vehicle was sitting in front of her residence with people in it. An officer responded and determined the vehicle to belong to Sudden Link, which were working in the area.

At 8:33 a.m. a disturbance was reported on North Newsom when a health care worker reported she was in a verbal argument with a family member and the family member had a gun on his person, but had not pulled the weapon. Officers responded to the call and found the argument had calmed down and the family member and health care worker had separated for the day.

At 11:22 a.m. Wood County S.O. reported an elderly woman left her residence in the country and was possibly headed into town in her vehicle. She was possibly headed to the nursing home on Mimosa Street. Officers looked for the vehicle, but did not locate the vehicle in the city.

At 11:30 a.m. A man on Clara reported he was receiving inappropriate text. An officer responded to the residence and spoke with the man. The officer determined the number was not traceable.

At l:26 an officer assisted a motorist on Laura Street.

At 4:38 p.m. Walmart reported a theft when a man walked out with merchandise in a backpack that was also stolen. When asset protection confronted him he threw down the backpack and took off running. Officers were able to find him on foot on North Pacific in the parking lot of BTH Bank. Johnny Kevin Crawford, Jr., 17 of Grand Saline was arrested for theft over $100 under $750, failed to ID fugitive from justice and possession of a controlled substance under 1 gram. Crawford was wanted out of Wood County for a theft warrant. Crawford gave a false name while detained and the officers found him in possession of Methamphetamine.

At 7:45 p.m. officers assisted EMS at a store on North Pacific Street when a customer had a medical issue.

SEPT. 30 – At 9:10 a.m. an officer assisted a customer at Walmart that needed their vehicle jumped off.

At 1:47 p.m. several 911 hang up calls were received at a residence on North Newsom. An officer responded to the residence and found a small child had been playing with the phone.

At 2:20 p.m. a debit card was found by a citizen at a bank ATM on West Broad Street.

At 4:17 p.m. a resident on East McDonald Street reported her ex-boyfriend was threatening her by phone. An officer spoke with the complainant and determined no actual threat was made.

At 5:19 p.m. a welfare concern was reported by a neighbor on North Newsom Street when his neighbor told him to call the police because she thought someone had been in her residence. An officer checked the residence, but did not find anything out of place.

At 5:29 p.m. a call was received in reference to an infant accidentally locked in a vehicle at Walmart. An officer responded and unlocked the vehicle. The infant was fine.

At 6:45 p.m. a verbal disturbance between neighbors was reported on Stone Street. Officers responded to the call and reported everything was fine and the two were separated.

At 7:31 an officer assisted EMS on a medical call on North Newsom Street.

At 7:59 p.m. a resident reported a woman came to her door on East Broad Street asking for a ride. The caller advised she did not give the woman a ride, but requested the department check on her. An officer found the woman and gave her a ride to the store.

At 8:40 p.m. a man reported leaving his vehicle unlocked at a business on North Johnson and his E-cig came up missing.

Sept. 29 – At 10:49 a.m. A welfare concern was reported involving an elderly woman that left a location on Mimosa Street walking. An officer found the woman on East McDonald Street. A family member picked the woman up from East McDonald Street.

At 7:02 p.m. Loud music was reported on Kraus Street. The music was turned down prior to the officer’s arrival.

At 7:50 p.m. a criminal mischief was reported at a business on West Broad Street. The reporting party stated she is the second employee to get their tires cut. This is under investigation.

Sept. 28 – at 1:54 p.m. an officer assisted EMS on a medical call on West Kilpatrick Street.

At 2:55 p.m. a theft was reported at Walmart. This is under investigation.

At 4:54 p.m. an officer responded to a civil issue over a vehicle on Molly Street.

Sept. 27 – At 12:51 a.m. an officer observed a suspicious vehicle behind the sonic. It was found to be a person waiting to pick up the Dallas papers.

At 3:22 a.m. Oscar Nevarez, 33 of Mineola was arrested for driving while license suspended after an officer observed him driving on North Pacific Street and the officer had knowledge his license were suspended.

At 8:47 a.m. a woman reported fraudulent activity on her debit card.

At 10:23 a.m. car cleaning items in a back pack were found at the Crenshaw Car Wash on North Pacific Street.

At 1:28 p.m. a vehicle was reported to have run through a fence on Graham Street. Insurance information was exchanged with the land owner.

At 2:20 p.m. a man was reported to have been intoxicated while at a restaurant on West Broad Street. Officers arrived and found the subject was not intoxicated, but he had walked out without paying for his food. Brian Keith Thurman, 50 of Mineola was arrested for theft of service under $100.

At 5:15 p.m. a possible theft was reported at a store on East Broad Street. An officer responded to the store and spoke with the customer and the clerk. The officer determined the female he spoke with was not the same female that was suspected of the theft the day before.

At 5:58 p.m. a resident on West Broad Street was reported to be burning without a permit. An officer responded and had the resident put the fire out. The resident was warned about getting a burn permit before burning.

10:5 p.m. Shooting on Landers Street. Still under investigation.
