5:49 p.m. A motor vehicle accident was reported at Newsom St. and E. Broad St. An accident report was completed.

June 25

8:57 a.m. Officers were requested to assist Child Protective Services with a juvenile in the 100 block of Stone St. The juvenile was transported without incident to Quitman by the Mineola Police Department. 

1:04 p.m. A load of PVC pipe was reported laying in the roadway at Broad St. and Johnson St. The pipe was picked up and removed by officers.

1:20 p.m. Officers worked a motor vehicle accident at N. Pacific St. and E. McDonald St. One of the drivers and a passenger was transported to the hospital with injuries. 

4:27 p.m. A group of juveniles were reported to be riding skateboards in the middle of the roadway. The caller stated that the incident occurred on N. Newsom St. The caller also stated that the juveniles were refusing to move to the side of the roadway to allow cars to pass. Officers checked the surrounding area but were unable to locate the juveniles.

5:49 p.m. A motor vehicle accident was reported at Newsom St. and E. Broad St. An accident report was completed. 

7:02 p.m. A woman in the 600 block of N. Johnson St. reported that her ex-husband had threatened to come to her home while a restraining order against him is in place. Officers checked the area throughout the night but were unable to locate the person. 

11:19 p.m. A man stated that someone had thrown an unknown object at his vehicle windshield. The man was attempting to locate the other vehicle involved. Officers met with the man in the E. McDonald St. and Circle Drive area. It was determined that the offense had occurred outside the city limits. The man was referred to the sheriff’s office. 

June 26

9:48 a.m. A business in the 700 block of Mimosa St. reported a possible assault. A person reported being disrespected by the way her helper responded in assisting her. A report was made and the incident was documented. No charges will be filed. 

10:37 p.m. Richard Delwin Gregory, 56, of Mineola was arrested for public intoxication. Dispatch received a call about an unresponsive male subject. The caller stated the man was on a bench in the 100 block of N. Johnson St. and when they attempted to wake the subject they could not. Gregory was checked out by EMS and then placed into custody. 

June 27

2:40 a.m. A motorist at Loop 564 and North Pacific Street was afraid of running out of gas. Officers assisted him to the nearest gas station. 

11:44 a.m. A business in the 200 block of E. Broad St. reported an attempted forgery. The caller stated that on several occasions a known person has attempted to have a prescription filled by acting as a health care provider. This case is under investigation and a suspect has been identified.

12:40 p.m. Officers worked a two-vehicle accident in the 1200 block of N. Pacific St. A case report was completed. 

4:17 p.m. A man reported that he was hit over the head with an unknown object by his girlfriend while visiting her relatives in the 400 block of Goodson St. The man had left the scene and was heading out of town. The man did not want to file charges and refused to assist with additional details. Officers completed an incident report documenting what was given to them. 

5:08 p.m. A woman in the 700 block of Goodson Circle reported that her sister was outside of her apartment yelling and causing a disturbance. Officer arrived on scene and talked with the sister. After further investigation it was found to be a verbal dispute over a vehicle. The incident was listed as a civil issue. 

June 28

2:34 a.m. Officers located an unsecure door to a local business while performing their building checks in the 100 block of N. Johnson St. Officer spoke with the owner of the business and the door was secured. 

11:59 p.m. Randall Keith Robinson, 37, of Hawkins was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Rockwall County at a business in the 100 block of Northeast Loop 564. The caller stated that Robinson was possibly intoxicated. Subject was arrested without incident. 

June 29

8:55 a.m. Officer assisted with a funeral escort from N. Johnson St. to the Cedar Garden Memorial Cemetery on S. Pacific St. 

11:51 a.m. A business owner in the 300 block of Northwest Loop 564 reported a man inside of the business that appeared to be disoriented. The owner gave directions to the man on how to get to city hall. The business owner then had the man follow her to city hall to assure him that he was able to find the location. Officers made contact with the man and found him to be OK. The man then returned to his residence after taking care of some business at city hall. 

12:14 p.m. A man reported that his door had been kicked open to his apartment in the 1200 block of Bromberg St. The caller stated he was just returning to his residence and found the door open and damage to the door jamb area. The caller and officers walked through the apartment and were unable to find anything missing. After speaking with other residents in the area, the incident possibly occurred in the early morning hours. This case is under investigation and a suspect has been listed in this offense.  

7:29 p.m. A welfare concern was reported in the 700 block of Goodson Circle. A woman stated to dispatchers that another woman at the residence was being verbally abused by a known person. Officers talked with everyone involved. No action was requested by the complainant.

8:54 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Graham St. in reference to a trespassing offense. The caller reported a known male was sleeping in his shed. The caller stated that he had told the man previously that he was not welcome on the property. Officers woke the man up and requested him to perform a standard field sobriety test. The man was determined not to be intoxicated. Officers escorted the man off of the property to a friend’s home nearby. No charges were filed.

June 30

7:38 a.m. A suspicious person was reported in the 700 block of N. Johnson St. The caller stated a female driver had stopped and attempted to take some building supplies from the side of the road and then returned the items. The caller gave a description of the driver and her vehicle. The suspect had left the scene prior to officer’s arrival. A directed patrol for the area was issued.

9:52 a.m. A two-vehicle accident was reported in a parking lot in the 1300 block of S. Pacific St. Officers talked with both parties and driver information was exchanged. No injuries were reported. 

10:38 a.m. An officer spoke with a couple at the Mineola Police Dept. in reference to a fraud offense. The couple stated they were attempting to purchase an item online and was asked to pay for the item with green dot cards. The item was not sent to the buyer once the party received the green dot card payments. This case is under investigation. 

3:10 p.m. Dispatch received a call from a business in the 200 block of W. Broad St. concerning a partially naked person in a vehicle. After further investigation it was found that the person was covered with a t-shirt. The person was identified and it was later determined that no offense had occurred. 

3:30 p.m. A man reported to officers that an unknown person had entered into his parked vehicle and had removed some items without his consent. The vehicle was parked in the 1200 block of N. Pacific St. The report has been forwarded to investigation for further review.

9:46 p.m. Longview Police Department requested assistance in locating a runaway. Through their investigations it was determined that the runaway could possibly be located in the Kings Lane area. Officers checked the area given by Longview PD. The juvenile was not found in that area. 

July 1

10:04 a.m. Officers were requested at a business in the 100 block of Debby Lane in reference to a welfare check. Officers talked with a woman who was needing a ride to another location. The woman was able to make contact with a person and obtain transportation. 

10:27 a.m. A man stated that his vehicle was hit while it was parked in the Walmart parking lot. The man stated that the incident occurred three weeks ago.  After further investigation it was determined that no report would be made. The driver stated that he was unsure of where the damage may have occurred and then listed a number of other possible locations. 

11:24 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Northeast Loop 564 in reference to a theft call. A woman was reported as leaving a business without offering to pay for some items. An employee stated that she watched the woman leave the store with the merchandise. An offense report for theft was completed. This case is under investigation. 

11:42 a.m. A man contacted the police department stating that he had accidentally locked his two dogs inside of his vehicle. The caller stated that his vehicle was not running. Officers found that the man had already busted his window to gain entrance. The dogs were found to be in good health. 

1:51 p.m. A resident in the 400 block of Sycamore St. reported a theft of a firearm. After further investigation it was found that the gun had been borrowed by a friend and that the friend had not returned it. Officers advised that this was a civil issue and no criminal offense had occurred.

5:19 p.m. A man reported that he had struck a city roadway sign while operating a motor vehicle in the 100 block of E. Commerce St. The accident was reported to officers and the driver’s insurance information was obtained. All information was forwarded to the city’s street department. 

8:14 p.m. Officers assisted with returning cows to their pasture on CR 2724. The cows were observed out of their enclosure during routine patrol at the Mineola Nature Preserve.
