The Berkeley Big Bass Tournament is scheduled to take place on Lake Fork from Oct. 19 - Oct. 20. Prizes include 2 Skeeter ZX boats, in addition to hourly prizes. The first annual Quitman Lake Fork Kiwanis Club Golf Ball Drop is set to take place on Oct. 26 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wood County Airport. Golf balls can be purchased for $5, and all proceeds benefit Kiwanis International's Eliminate Project (which provides tetanus shots to mothers and children in third world countries) as well as programs for local children. 1st prize is $100; 2nd prize is $75, and 3rd prize is $50.
