9:40 a.m.A woman reported her vehicle was hit in the parking lot of Walmart on December 12.

11:04 a.m.A caller reported witnessing a man in an orange shirt and bullet proof vest walking into the school. Another caller reported a man walking on Patten Street with an orange sweat shirt. Officers were in the area when the call was received and responded swiftly. The school resource chief and another security officer were at the campus when the call came in. None of the officers saw the man. Several streets were patrolled and no one was located that fit the description.

11:44 a.m.A suspicious person was reported at a house on McWhorter that had a pending sale posted. Officers responded and found the two men were a survey crew.

2:25 p.m.A dispute over property and trespassing was reported on South Pacific Street. The man on the property had been previously trespassed, but the new owner had invited the man. No offense had occurred.

2:33 a.m.An officer attempted to locate a burn ban violation in the area of Goodson Street. The source of the burning was not located.

7:25 a.m.A business on East Broad Street reported someone cutting donuts in their driveway. An officer went to the man residence and issued a criminal trespass warning at the request of the business.

6:44 p.m.Nathen Dean Cunningham, 38, of Terrell was arrested for a Wood County warrant on Possession of a Controlled Substance after an officer ran the registration and the system showed the registered owner to have warrants. The officer made a traffic stop on West Broad Street to identify who he believed to be the wanted person.

10:16 p.m.A business on West Broad Street reported a suspicious person sitting in the vehicle in the parking lot. Officers responded to the call and everything was fine.

12:32 a.m.A resident on Wigley Street reported a suspicious person. She reported someone rang her doorbell then took off in a vehicle at a high rate of speed. An officer responded to the area but did not find the vehicle.

12:59 p.m.A 911 hang up call was received at the school from a cell phone. The dispatcher could hear children talking about the police coming. The phone did not have service. The security officer was notified at the school and made a walk through but did not find out who made the phone call.

4:41 p.m.A woman reported her vehicle was hit in the parking lot while she was shopping at Stage. Whoever hit her vehicle left without leaving any information.

5:25 p.m.A reckless driver was reported on South Pacific Street. An officer was able to get the vehicle stopped. The driver exhibited no signs of intoxication.

12:59 a.m.A man called from the Best Western Hotel advising he could smell a strange odor outside the hotel and on his hallway. Officers responded and did not find anything wrong. The caller was the same subject officers have been called to on multiple times.

12:29 p.m.A citizen reported someone getting into her vehicle and taking some medication while she was shopping on South Johnson Street. The vehicle was not locked at the time.

1:53 p.m.A wallet was found on Peachtree and turned in. The owner of the wallet was contacted and it was returned.

3:07 p.m.A reckless driver was reported when two motorcycles were speeding through town heading south on Pacific Street. An officer responded to the call but was unable to locate the motorcycles.

6:11 p.m.An officer assisted a deputy on an accident with injuries on Hwy. 69 N at Cr. 2330. The deputy was requesting a trauma kit to be brought to the scene by the officer.

7:00 p.m.An officer responded to Tractor Supply on two people reportedly digging in the Dumpster. The two were gone upon the officer’s arrival.

7:06 p.m.Officers assisted a man that missed the train. The Ministerial Alliance approved a night in the motel for the man. He was transported by the officers to the motel.

9:01 p.m.Dollar General requested a man be removed from the store. He was making the clerks feel uncomfortable on more than one occasion. Officers responded to the store and issued the man a trespass warning.

2:34 a.m.A reckless driving was reported to be coming into the city on South Pacific northbound at a high rate of speed. An officer attempted to locate the vehicle but was unable to.

9:19 a.m.A resident on North Johnson Street reported her vehicle was hit overnight while legally parked on the street.

11:59 a.m.A female in a grey minivan reportedly tethered a Chihuahua dog to a post at the Brookshire’s gas station and left the dog. The dog was taken to the shelter.

3:15 p.m.A verbal disturbance was reported at a residence on Blair Street. The complainant reported her brother was threatening her father. Officers responded to the residence and spoke with the father and the son and both denied a problem.

6:39 p.m.A reckless driver was reported by Wood County S.O. headed toward the city. An officer was able to get the vehicle stopped on North Pacific Street. A field sobriety test was conducted on the driver with some clues of possible intoxication, and the driver did not have a driver’s license. The driver, Luis Miguel Estrada Ontiveros, 43, of Alba was arrested for No Driver’s License.

7:30 p.m.A woman reported her husband was walking in the middle of the roadway on South Pacific Street and would not listen to her. An officer responded and spoke with the subject, but the wife had left him. The man got a room at the hotel.

8:32 p.m.Best Western reported a man at the hotel wanted his money back and they could not refund the money. Officers went to the hotel and spoke with the man on the earlier call. After the officers spoke with him, he went back to his room for the night.

10:49 p.m.An anonymous caller alerted the department to a party that involved minors on West Buchanan Street. Stephen Ray Spraggins, 23, of Mineola was arrested for purchasing or furnishing alcohol to minors. One minor went to the hospital and was released. Several minors were present who had been drinking. The parents or guardians were called to pick the minors up. Furnishing alcohol also covers allowing the minors to drink whether you provided the alcohol or not, with the exception of a parent or a spouse.

6:00 a.m.Charles Brian Kirksey, 48, of Winnsboro turned himself in on two warrants for Indecent Exposure. Both incidents allegedly happened at Walmart.

3:08 p.m.A woman reported that her vehicle was hit while at a convenience store on North Pacific Street in November.

3:19 p.m.Cade’s reported a theft of a drill. This is under investigation with a known suspect, and a warrant will be issued.

8:08 p.m.A traffic stop for expired registration on East Broad Street led to multiple charges involving the driver and the passenger. Butch Macloed Mounsey, 37, of Big Sandy was arrested for two charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance under 1 gram, Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility and a Wood County warrant for Endangering a Child. Mounsey had an additional amount of methamphetamine on his person during book in. Jason Wade Thompson, 30, of Hawkins was a passenger in the vehicle and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance under 1 gram.

9:28 p.m.A citizen reported three kids in the street on Sycamore. When the kids were told to move, they yelled foul language and ran into a backyard. An officer patrolled the area, but did not locate the kids.

9:50 p.m.An officer assisted with a motorist that was stranded on North Pacific Street.

10:53 p.m.A verbal disturbance was reported at a residence on West Blair Street between roommates. One roommate walked in the kitchen and bumped into the other roommate.

11:01 p.m.A burglary of a vehicle was reported on Wigley Street. A woman reported she left her vehicle unlocked and her purse was in the vehicle. When the woman went to get her purse it was missing.

10:52 a.m.A verbal disturbance was reported on West Blair between two roommates. An officer responded to the call and spoke with the complainant. She was advised the situation between the two is a civil matter.

4:26 p.m.Drug paraphernalia was found by the staff at a convenience store on North Pacific while cleaning the restroom. The paraphernalia was turned over to the department for disposal.
