February 26

1:46 a.m. An officer responded to a suspicious person in the area of West Blair Street when a resident reported someone was throwing things at her window screens. An officer patrolled the area, but did not observe anyone in the area.

Mineola Police Report Feb. 21-26

February 26

1:46 a.m. An officer responded to a suspicious person in the area of West Blair Street when a resident reported someone was throwing things at her window screens. An officer patrolled the area, but did not observe anyone in the area.

8:13 a.m. A mother reported suspicious and inappropriate activity consisting of text, photographs and video on her child’s computer. After a swift investigation, Kardaylun Loyd Tennyson, 21, of Mineola was arrested Feb. 27 on a warrant for online solicitation of a minor.

12:14 p.m. A welfare concern was reported for a resident on West Blair Street possibly needing medical attention. An officer visited with the resident. The resident refused treatment.

1:46 p.m. A hit and run accident was reported at Greenville Avenue and Johnson Street. This is under investigation.

3:14 p.m. An officer met with an employee at the Mineola Country Club in reference to inappropriate behavior of a customer on Saturday night, Feb. 23.

10:14 p.m. A criminal mischief was reported when a resident on West Kilpatrick reported a male knocking on the front door before throwing something and breaking a window. Officers responded to the area and noted a male in the area that is a possible suspect. This is under investigation.

February 25

10:54 a.m. A woman on Lee Drive reported selling a vehicle and the person quit making payments. The resident was referred to civil court at the Justice of Peace Pct. 2.

2:07 p.m. A disturbance was reported on West McDonald Street by neighbors who could hear loud arguments and cursing. Officers responded and patrolled the area. The officers determined that the noise was coming from behind a residence in the 300 Block. Three family members were arguing. The homeowner requested a family member not be there anymore. He was approved for a room at a motel for the night through the Ministerial Alliance.

5:44 p.m. A disturbance was reported on West McDonald Street by the homeowner. A family member had returned. The family member was transported back to the motel and advised to stay there.

8:08 p.m. Officers assisted a man who was waiting for the train the following morning and did not have a place to stay. The man was transported to the motel with the assistance of Ministerial Alliance.

3:24 a.m. A suspicious person was noted walking in the West Kilpatrick area by an officer who was patrolling because of the reported criminal mischief earlier.

1:01 p.m. Officers responded to assist a stranded motorist in the Walmart parking lot that had a flat tire.

1:30 p.m. An officer assisted on a medical call with the Fire Department and EMS involving a child on Krause Street. The child was transported to the hospital by EMS.

February 24

4:16 p.m. Loud music was reported on Krause Street. An officer responded to a residence and advised the resident to turn the music down.

5:26 p.m. An officer assisted EMS on a medical call on West Blair Street. The woman was transported to UT Health-Quitman after falling.

7:35 p.m. An officer spoke with a woman on West Front Street about a theft of a wallet. It was determined to have occurred in Longview. The resident was referred to Longview police.

February 23

1:33 a.m. A disturbance between two friends was reported at the Lakeland Lodge Motel on East Broad Street. One male reported he was choked by his friend during an argument. The man did not appear to be injured and he did not wish to pursue charges and signed a waiver of prosecution. A family violence report was filed.

10:31 a.m. A man reported credit/debit card abuse involving his elderly mother’s credits cards being used by individuals taking advantage of her. The suspects had booked rooms at the hotel with her credit card.

7:43 p.m. Two vehicles were struck on North Johnson Street by a 77-year-old local resident during the time a play was underway at the Select Theater. The man, driving a 2004 Jeep Cherokee, struck the rear of one vehicle that was parked on North Johnson Street, which caused the parked vehicle to strike another vehicle parked in the parking lot in the 200 North Johnson Street. No injuries were noted. The two vehicle owners were notified during the play.

9:46 p.m. Officers assisted Wood County Pct. 2 Constable during a K-9 open air search at the hotel located on Debby Lane. Two individuals were arrested from the hotel room for possession of a controlled substance.

10:26 p.m. A verbal disturbance was reported between a husband and wife on East McDonald Street. The two were separated for the night.

11:44 p.m. Loud music was reported at a residence on West Broad Street. An officer responded to the residence and the resident turned the music down.

February 22

9:31 a.m. A business on East Broad Street requested a customer to be criminally trespassed.

11:35 p.m. A resident on Minwood Street reported fraudulent charges on a Valero card.

11:07 p.m. An officer assisted a stranded motorist on West Broad Street.

February 21

12:37 p.m. Longhorn Ford reported a theft when a vehicle was purchased by a person using fraudulent information. This is under investigation.

3:33 p.m. An officer was on routine patrol on Kevin Street and located a stolen vehicle out of Kilgore parked in front of a residence. This is under investigation.

11:32 p.m. Robert Bradley Wilson, 49, of Quitman was arrested for a DWI (third or more) warrant out of Tyler after he was stopped for a traffic violation on North Pacific Street.
