8:10 a.m. Officers assisted Wood County with a reported vehicle accident at FM 1801 and Loop 564.

Mineola Police Report, Feb. 7-13

February 13

7:08 p.m. Suspicious persons were reported at a residence on Read Street when a woman went to her neighbors and told the neighbor that two men came to her residence wanting money and then became very demanding. She reported the two sat in a vehicle in front of her residence. An officer responded and patrolled the area but was unable to locate the vehicle. A directive patrol was placed on the area and her residence.

10:01 p.m. Gerri Rachelle Butler, 44, of Mineola was arrested for Driving While License Invalid/Suspended on East Broad Street when an officer witnessed her driving and knew she did not possess a valid license.

10:56 p.m. A suspicious person was reported on Second Street when a resident was sitting outside and witnessed a white male jump a fence and take off running. Officers patrolled the area, but did not locate anyone.

February 12

2:15 p.m. EMS requested assistance with a medical call on Sycamore Street.

4:46 p.m. A theft of service was reported by Aaron’s Rental.

3:18 a.m. An officer stopped to check on a man that was standing by his vehicle in the Middle School parking lot on Loop 564 and found him to be intoxicated. Baltazar Santiago Jr., 23, of Mineola was arrested for Public Intoxication.

4:15 a.m. An officer assisted EMS at a residence on Bowdoin Street.

8:02 p.m. A welfare concern was reported by a family member when a woman was reportedly leaving the Valero on South Pacific Street possibly under the influence and headed back home in Smith County. Officers were unable to locate the described vehicle.

9:41 p.m. Lindee Cheri Delaney, 35, of Grand Saline was arrested on a Falls County warrant after she was stopped on South Pacific Street for a defective license plate light.

11:34 p.m. Brandon Terrell Parks, 30, of Gladewater was arrested on a Henderson County warrant for Theft of Property when he was stopped on East Broad Street for an expired registration.

February 11

8:24 a.m. A resident on N. Newsom reported the theft of a flag from her yard.

8:51 a.m. A debit card abuse was reported. This is under investigation.

5:08 p.m. A man reported a debit card abuse but decided not to file a report until he can determine if the person who took the money from his account intends to pay it back.

February 10

2:25 a.m. A woman came to the police department and reported she picked up a woman who was about five miles west of Hawkins on U.S. Hwy. 80 standing in the roadway. She became alarmed by the woman’s actions and state of mind. The woman then refused to get out of the vehicle. Officers removed her from the vehicle and determined she was intoxicated. An officer transported the woman to UT-Quitman and turned the incident over to the Wood County S.O.

2:07 p.m. A welfare concern was reported when a woman was in a business in two juvenile grandchildren on North Pacific Street and appeared to be confused. The juveniles were turned over to their parents, and the grandmother went to the hospital by EMS.

6:44 p.m. A theft was reported by an employee at Walmart that occurred in January. This is under investigation.

11:26 p.m. A theft of medication was reported by a resident on West Broad Street. The resident later reported he did not wish to file charges and signed a waiver of prosecution.

February 9

4:48 a.m. An officer assisted EMS on a medical call on Kings Lane.

8:02 a.m. A resident on West Kilpatrick reported someone threw eggs at her vehicle during the night.

5:06 p.m. Loud music was reported at Graves and Country Club Lane. An officer patrolled the area but did not hear the music upon his arrival.

5:50 p.m. Walmart reported a person they believed was attempting to shoplift from the store. An officer issued a criminal trespass warning to the man, at the request of Walmart.

8:17 p.m. Tra Darian Savion Perry, 24, of Tyler was arrested after he was stopped for a traffic violation on South Pacific Street. Perry had a warrant out of Smith County and the officer smelled marijuana and searched the vehicle. Perry was then charged with possession of marijuana under two ounces and possession of a controlled substance (THC oil).

10:25 p.m. A resident on Molly Lane reported a suspicious vehicle in the alleyway behind their residence. The vehicle drove off when the resident went outside. An officer patrolled the area but did not locate the vehicle or anything suspicious.

February 8

3:18 a.m. An officer stopped to check on a man who was standing by his vehicle in the Middle School parking lot on Loop 564 and found him to be intoxicated. Baltazar Santiago Jr., 23, of Mineola was arrested for public intoxication.

4:15 a.m. An officer assisted EMS at a residence on Bowdoin Street.

February 7

8:10 a.m. Officers assisted Wood County with a reported vehicle accident at FM 1801 and Loop 564.

10:21 a.m. Wood County reported a reckless driver that had went into the ditch twice, according to a witness, headed toward the city from the Alba area. An officer patrolled the U.S. 69 N. and Loop 564 intersection but did not locate the vehicle.

12:20 p.m. A mother of a student reported her teenage daughter was a victim of harassment or bullying by text message. The mother was referred to the MISD Police Department.

6:36 p.m. Loud music was reported in the area of Country Club Drive and Graves Street. An officer found the source of the music to be from a vehicle. The occupant of the vehicle turned the music down.
