March 13

1:17 a.m. A resident on McWhorter Street reported a possible suspicious person out by the storage building in the back yard. An officer responded and determined it could have been the weather, because he didn’t find anything out of place.

1:54 p.m. A wallet was reported stolen from a resident at Mineola Community Care. This is under investigation.

4:50 p.m. A baby was reportedly alone in a vehicle at Walmart. Officers responded and determined a 13-year-old was in the vehicle with the baby.

6:36 p.m. A phone scam was reported. The scam was reportedly from the Bill Gates Foundation.

7:05 p.m. Loud music was reported on Frances Street. An officer responded and had the resident turn the music down.

8:29 p.m. A reckless driver was reported on FM 1804 and headed toward the city limits on East Broad Street. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

8:56 p.m. An aggravated assault with a motor vehicle was reported on Wigley Street. A woman was hit by a vehicle during an argument. The woman sustained some injury to the side of her leg and hip. This is under investigation.

10:03 p.m. A welfare concern was reported in reference to a teenager who walked away from home. An officer found him and took him back home.

11:50 p.m. Three vehicles were reportedly driving in circles inside the Civic Center after hours. An officer responded but they were gone upon his arrival.

March 12

2:29 a.m. Kids were reportedly in the parking lot of Walmart playing bumper cars with the carts. When the officers arrived the kids were not there.

2:47 p.m. A reckless driver was reportedly failing to maintain a single lane of traffic and speeding. Officers attempted to catch up to the vehicle, but because of traffic they could not. Wood County S.O. was notified.

3:13 p.m. A disturbance was reported at a residence on West Blair Street. Officers responded and found it to be an argument between a brother and sister and the suspect was not there.

3:33 p.m. A woman called 911 because a vehicle was following her from Lindale into town and the man was blowing his horn and going in and out of traffic attempting to stay up with her. She said he was right on the rear of her vehicle and she was terrified. She was told to drive to the police department. The woman drove into the parking lot of the police department with the man following behind her. He said she had hit his vehicle in Lindale coming out of Chili’s at the interstate and she would not stop, so he was going to pursue her until she stopped. The woman denied hitting his vehicle. Officers looked at his vehicle and hers and did not find any evidence of her hitting him. Two witnesses followed the two and came to the department as well. The witnesses thought the woman had grazed his vehicle with hers. No charges were filed.

5:54 p.m. A report of a vehicle parked in the handicapped parking at Walmart without a placard was reported. Upon the officer’s arrival, the vehicle was not there.

7:06 p.m. A landlord called and advised the tenants on West Blair Street reported the brother was tearing the house up. He wished for the department to respond. Officers responded and found the damage to be old damage.

9:26 p.m. A resident on West Blair asked for assistance to get his vehicle cranked. An officer responded and helped start the vehicle by jumping it.

10:56 p.m. Naomi Applegate Hennessey, 34, of Mineola, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance over 4 grams and under 200 grams after she was stopped for an expired registration.

March 11

1:07 p.m. A woman who reported a welfare concern at a residence on East Blair was asked to leave the property by the residents. An officer advised the reporting party that she had to leave.

3:09 p.m. An illegal dumper was located after throwing a microwave and trash into a Dumpster at a business on West Broad Street. An officer went to their residence and had them pick the trash up or face charges.

3:22 p.m. Two men were reportedly shooting at the Mineola Nature Preserve. An officer responded and determined the men did not have a weapon; instead, they had a launcher for ducks.

March 10

12:51 a.m. A traffic stop led to the driver and passenger getting arrested. Andres Mathew Santiago, 29, of Jacksonville was driving without a valid license and was arrested on an enhanced charge. The passenger, Chella Danielle Martinez, 26, of Jacksonville was arrested for possession of a controlled substance under 1 gram.

1:11 p.m. A welfare concern was reported for a resident on Minwood Street. The caller was concerned about a neighbor’s health. An officer checked on the man and found him to be OK, but he was going to follow up with a doctor.

5:23 p.m. A business on East Broad Street located a paper driver’s license in the parking lot. It was reportedly placed in the mailbox and the post office.

March 9

6:33 a.m. A man and a woman were reportedly in the same bathroom stall at a business on North Pacific Street. An officer responded and found that no offense occurred.

9:57 a.m. A caller reported a man walking down the street on Loop 564 in women’s clothing. The officer reported seeing the man, but he was doing nothing wrong.

2:39 p.m. An anonymous caller reported a semi-truck hauling propane tanks on West Broad at Loop 564 and the caller could smell propane. An officer responded to the area, but did not find the truck.

4:34 p.m. Glenda Kay Burt, 52, Waxahachie, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance under 1 gram (meth), possession of marijuana under 2 ounces, driving with an invalid license, and possession of a controlled substance under 28 grams (pills) after she was stopped on Loop 564 for her auto registration not showing in the system. After she was stopped she showed the officer a registration she had gotten the day before but it had not been entered into the system. He also smelled marijuana when he approached her vehicle.

4:34 p.m. The owner of a business on North Johnson Street reported a female standing outside the business taking photographs of the customers and their vehicles. An officer arrived and watched the woman for a little while, but she did not do anything while he was there and she left the area.

5:52 p.m. Loud music from a vehicle was reported on Country Club at Graves Street. An officer responded and found the vehicle. The music was turned down.

March 8

5:05 p.m. Gina Lucia Pranzitelli, 48, of Palestine was arrested for reportedly having no liability insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia after she was stopped on South Pacific Street for speeding.

6:49 p.m. A disturbance was reported at Brenda Lane. When an officer arrived it was determined to be a verbal argument. The two were arguing over a child. The male was intoxicated and transported to his parent’s residence.

7:58 p.m. A welfare concern was reported for a truck driver sitting the wrong way on Loop 564 near Sanderson Farms. An officer checked and found the truck to be unoccupied.

8:33 p.m. A man reported someone came into his motel room at the Mineola Motor Lodge and pulled a gun on him. When officers arrived they found Austin Michael Edwards, 31, of Gilmer in the parking lot and he appeared to be intoxicated. Edwards had a 9mm handgun on his person and a rifle in his vehicle. Edwards was arrested for unlawfully carrying a weapon.

March 7

4:12 p.m. Officers assisted Wood County S.O. on a disturbance on FM 49 until deputies arrived on the scene.

4:30 p.m. A trespassing incident was reported at a business on South Pacific Street. A man reportedly jumped a fence when he was seen by employees and left in a vehicle headed north on South Pacific Street.

8:09 p.m. An officer was requested at a residence on West Kilpatrick to speak with an 11-year-old and a 13-year-old about hitting each other. An officer went to the residence and spoke with the children.

11:18 p.m. A traffic stop on South Pacific Street led to the driver and a passenger being arrested. Demetric Ledmond Walker, 19, of Tyler was driving and when the officer approached the vehicle for defective equipment and not dimming the headlights, the officer could smell marijuana. The vehicle was searched and marijuana was found in possession of the passenger, Quincy Rayline Harris, 18, of Tyler. A stolen firearm was recovered and the matter is under investigation. The driver, Demetric Walker, was arrested for defective equipment, and Quincy Harris was arrested for possession of marijuana under two ounces.
