ALBA– Services for Patricia Ann Massie, 55, of Alba, were held Nov. 20, at Cottonwood Assembly of God Church, Golden, with Rev. Otis Lee officiating. Burial was in Pilgrim Rest #1 Cemetery, Emory.
Ms. Massie passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. She was born Monday, April 24, 1961, in Greenville, to the late Billy Roy and Doris Ann Slatter. She lived most of her life in Wood County and was a nurse for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Roy Slatter; mother, Doris Ann Watson; grandparents, Eugene Wolfe and Alice Sissel and Fred and Dorthy Slatter.
Survivors include her son, Jarred Massie of Golden; daughter, April Lewers of Golden; a sister, Vickie Smith of Emory; five grandchildren; nieces; nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Donations given to the family will go to Lilly’s Fight. Lilly is a 6-year-old Alba-Golden student who is battling leukemia.
