MLOTA, Bible class team to assist with quilts
The Mineola League of the Arts Quilt Guild recently presented 12 handmade quilts with matching pillow cases to the Ladies’ Bible Class of Mineola Broad Street Church of Christ.
The quilts will be a welcome addition to the yearly gift the ladies present to Arms of Hope, formally known as Boles Children’s Home, in Quinlan.
For over 15 years, the Broad Street Ladies class has delivered baskets loaded with housekeeping basics, personal items, children’s activities and toys, sewing kits, first aid kits, tool kits, and more to the Arms of Hope Together Program.
Arms of Hope is a not-for-profit Christian care organization that assists children and single-mother families in need. Through its Residential Child Care, Together, College and Career, Right Start, and Outreach ministry programs, Arms of Hope is committed to providing a safe haven and Christian environment. By leading them to lives of sustaining and productive citizenship, Arms of Hope helps children and single mothers avoid homelessness, poverty, abuse and neglect.
The Broad Street Church ladies group will be delivering the baskets in January.
