The Mineola Landmark Commission will host Movies in the Park on July 13, 20 and 27. All movies will be free to the public and will start at dusk.

The movies will be shown at Peterson Park at 205 N. Johnson St. across from First Baptist Church.

On July 13 the 1971 feature film “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory” will be shown. On July 20 the film “Sing” will be shown and on July 27 the hosts will bring Christmas in July by showing “Elf.”

Snacks and drinks will be available to purchase at the event. Glass containers will not be allowed and children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

It is advised that you bring your own lawn chairs and blankets to watch the movie.

If you own a business and would like to sponsor one of more of the movies contact Joyce Williams at joycew5719@gmail.com.

The movies are a fundraising event for Iron Horse Square, a future historical railroad park for downtown Mineola.
