Musgraves joining worldwide healthcare tribute

One World: Together at Home, the global broadcast April 18 at 7 p.m. local time to celebrate and support healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, will include Mineola’s own Kacey Musgraves.

The star-studded lineup will be hosted by talk show hosts Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert and shown on all the major networks as well as a multi-hour digital broadcast on numerous other platforms.

Among those expected to participate are Lady Gaga, who is curating the event, Alanis Morissette, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Eilish, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Burna Boy, Chris Martin, David Beckham, Eddie Vedder, Elton John, FINNEAS, Idris and Sabrina Elba, J Balvin, John Legend, Keith Urban, Kerry Washington, Lang Lang, Lizzo, Maluma, Paul McCartney, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan and Stevie Wonder.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
