One new COVID-19 case and one more recovery
The final dashboard for the week from the Northeast Texas Public Health District shows Wood County added just one new case of COVID-19 during the week.
The total stands at 23. It jumped to 22 on Monday and held there until today (May 22). The number of recoveries also improved by one to 15, leaving seven active cases plus the only death, also reported last Monday.
The latest case is from the Winnsboro area, which leads the county with nine.
The state reports 229 residents have been tested.
