Online auction to benefit Quitman Pilot Club programs

Posted

The Quitman Pilot Club’s fall fundraiser, an online auction, could net local residents great deals on luxury accommodations in Colorado, in Florida near Disney, experience packages, valuable gift card baskets, handbags, art, jewelry, furnishings and more. Many items are suitable for gifting, so add this online event to the holiday shopping list.

There are several desirable vacation accommodations up for auction like a 7-night stay next to Disney in a luxury 3-bedroom condo that sleeps up to 10. The grounds of the condo resort are filled with amenities like golf, several pools and a lazy river. Another staycation is for seven nights in a Southfork, Colo. condominium on the Rio Grande in prime snow skiing and fly fishing territory, and there’s an 18-hole championship golf course on site.

Want to do something fun locally? How about a crawfish boil for 10, cooked and served at your house? Looking for gifts? There’s all kinds of items for the women and men in your life, from purses to tool sets and even décor items. And many of them have gift cards to favorite restaurants like Cracker Barrel, Texas Roadhouse, Logan’s Place in Mineola and Jan’s Country Kitchen and Seth’s Lake Fork Creek Steak and Seafood in Quitman, as well as catered dinner from Your Appetites.

All funds raised will support the non-profit and all-volunteer Quitman Pilot Club and the mission of providing education for the prevention of traumatic brain injury and offering services to those suffering from brain related disorders, such as Alzheimer’s, stroke and autism. Bicycle safety, Project LifeSaver and Special Olympics are just a few of those efforts so important to the health, safety and quality of life for community members.

Chairwoman Debbie Robinson said, “This fundraiser will generate a large portion of the money needed for all of the local programs our non-profit club supports. We are filled with gratitude for the way the community and our sponsors support our works through our fundraising efforts.”

To review the items and bid, go online to netxauctions.com. Select “Enter Auction,” then scroll through the items that each have multiple pictures. Participants must register to bid.
