Orthopedic surgeon joins clinic
Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Richard M. Graves, MD, has joined UT Health East Texas Physicians in Quitman.
Dr. Graves treats patients of all ages who suffer from orthopedic pain or injuries. He specializes in joint replacement, including hip, knee and shoulder. He aims to “treat all patients as if they are my own family and to communicate with them on their level.”
Initially an engineer at a pacemaker company, Dr. Graves was exposed to the healthcare industry and developed a passion for helping people with pain and decreased levels of function.
“I always enjoyed working with my hands and was an athlete growing up,” he said. “I went to medical school specifically to perform joint replacements.”
Dr. Graves completed his bachelor of science from Stephen F. Austin State University. He earned his medical degree and continued his residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock.
Dr. Graves is welcoming new patients at the Quitman clinic beginning on Aug. 31. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 903-763-6090.
