Orville Willard Hurley, 1924-2019

Funeral services for Orville Willard Hurley, 95, of Quitman were April 2 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola with the Rev. Fred Morrow officiating. Burial was at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola.

Mr. Hurley passed away Friday, March 29, 2019, in Greenville. He was born Jan. 13, 1924, in Yantis to the late Calip Hurley and Ada Mae Lewers Hurley. He was a retired farmer and rancher and was preceded in death by his wife, Dee Hurley, and 17 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his son, Danny Hurley; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
