Peggy Marie Hulse, 1931-2020

Peggy Marie Hulse, born Dec. 18, 1931, was called home to be with the Lord on July 22, 2020.

She graduated from Adamson High School Dallas. She was employed by Reserve Life Insurance Company and retired from Dallas Independent School District after working with them for 20 years.

Peggy was a resident of Quitman and Mineola, formally of Dallas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Quitman and was a member of Ruth and Esther Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Raymond Hulse, Sr., and parents, Jim and Mildred Misty Bellamy.

Peggy is survived by her three children, Denise Roseman and husband Ronny of Grand Saline, Becky Lyon and husband Ken Lyon of Bullard and Raymond Hulse Jr. and wife Melissa of Wylie; grandchildren, Tori, Landon and James Hix; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-granddaughters; and a host of loving friends.

Services celebrating Peggy’s life were held at First Baptist Church, Quitman Monday, July 27 at 10 a.m. with interment Tuesday, July 28 at Laurel Oaks Cemetery in Mesquite.

The family asks that anyone who plans on attending the service for Mrs. Peggy to please wear a mask and follow all state guidelines. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
