Peggy Spann 1937-2022

Services for Peggy Spann, 85, of Mineola were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Sand Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Roger Spann, Bro. Jim Parker and Bro. Brandon Gray officiating.

Interment was in Pilgrim Rest #2 Cemetery, Golden.

Peggy McKinney Spann passed away July 15, 2022. She was born July 14, 1937 in Direct to Charlie Grady and Una Evans McKinney. She had lived the last 36 years in Mineola, where she was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church and retired as a hairdresser. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delmar Spann; great-granddaughter, Tommie Spann; six brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include her three sons, Delmer Spann and wife Carol of North Richland Hills, Robert Spann and wife Debra of Mineola and Roger Spann and wife Stephana of Arlington; sister, Faye Spann of Trenton; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren on the way; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at the funeral home.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
