Pilot Club plans mystery dinner

“Strictly Come Murder” is the title of this year’s murder mystery sponsored by the Pilot Club of Mineola and Lake Country Playhouse. The murder will take place at the Mineola Civic Center Saturday, March 28. Patrons will be a part of the show, which is the British version of “Dancing with the Stars.”

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6, giving extra time to explore the “bucket” items donated by local businesses and Pilot members.

For the price of $2, a number of large prizes (bucket items) will be awarded to winners. Tables of six for $210 or individuals for $35 must be made in advance by calling Diane at 903-343-7570. This includes dinner, the show, and lots of fun.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
