The Texas High School Coaches Association and the Texas Army National Guard announce the 2022 Football Academic All-State recipients. The award recognizes high school athletes who excel in the following categories: GPA, class rank, and ACT/SAT score.

Players gain academic all-state
The Texas High School Coaches Association and the Texas Army National Guard announce the 2022 Football Academic All-State recipients. The award recognizes high school athletes who excel in the following categories: GPA, class rank, and ACT/SAT score. These recipients are recognized as team members based on their scores in these categories and are grouped into Elite Team, 1st Team, 2nd Team, and honorable mention.
To qualify the student athlete must be a senior; an athlete, student trainer or manager in good standing with the team; of good moral character; and have an overall grade point average of 92 or above (including courses from grades 9-11 and courses completed from grade 12). GPA and class rank are considered in the scoring.
