Primary school groundbreaking Thursday

Groundbreaking for the new Mineola Primary School will be held Thursday, May 25 at 10 a.m. at the site on E. Loop 564, adjacent to the city water tower.

The construction has been underway for several weeks, which has included clearing and leveling the site.

It is being built with almost $30 million in bonds approved by voters in May 2022, with expected completion in the summer of 2024.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
