Quitman Rotary students of the month: December
Allison McKinley and George Sinopoli, seniors at Quitman High School, have been named Quitman Rotary Club Students of the Month for December 2013. Two graduating seniors are selected as Students of the Month on the basis of their academic achievement, character, and community involvement.
Allison, the daughter of Jimmy and Sandy Spears, has been, among other things a class officer, Student Council participant, National Honor Society Member, and all- state volleyball player at QHS. Her college plans are unsettled while she explores the possibilities of a volleyball scholarship. She plans to major in physical therapy and ultimately work with injured athletes.
George, the son of Rebekah Jane Sinopoli, is a member of QHS golf team and the National Honor Society and has earned All-Region honors in violin and viola and a Superior Rating at state solo and ensemble competitions. He intends to a major in music and minor in business at the University of North Texas.
