QHS to honor track & field state champion
Hancock, a 1997 QHS graduate, won the 400 meters at State.
He was also a collegiate national champion in the 4x100 relay.
He served with the U.S. Army in Iraq. He died in 2011.

QHS to honor track & field state champion
Timothy Hancock, Quitman’s first sports state champion, will be honored at the annual Bulldog Relays on Thursday, April 4. The ceremony takes place at 3:30 p.m. at the Quitman High School track.
Hancock, a 1997 QHS graduate, won the 400 meters at State.
He was also a collegiate national champion in the 4x100 relay.
