Quitman artist nominated for music awards
A Quitman singer-songwriter has been nominated for four awards by an independent artist music awards group.
Cheyenne Reynolds of Quitman was one of the few nominated for the 2019 Josie Music Awards.
She is nominated in four categories: vocalist of the year and artist of the year in a multi-genre category, song of the year and video of the year. Reynolds’ song “Lover’s Game” was nominated for song of the year and her video “Echoes” was nominated for video of the year.
The Josie Music Awards is an all-genre award show that began in 2015. It has become the largest independent artist award show in the world, according to its website.
There were over 20,000 submissions this year to be one of the artists nominated.
The fifth annual event will be held in the Celebrity Theatre inside the Dollywood Theme Park in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. on Sept. 21. Reynolds will be walking the red carpet on Sept. 20 at the Celebrity Theatre.
Reynolds’ songs are on Spotify and iTunes.
