Memorial services for Kenneth Slayton, 78, Mineola, were held October 13, 2013 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola with Billy Cooper and Jamie Trussell officiating.

Mr. Slayton passed away October 10, 2013 in Mineola.

He was born September 24, 1935 in Wood County, Texas to the late Charlie and Helen Slayton. He worked for SWEPCO for several years. He also owned Slayton Dirt Contractors since 1977. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Slayton. Survivors include his wife Dolores; sons, Kenny Slayton and Tonya of Mineola, Kyle Slayton and Kim of Nashville Arkansas; daughters, Renae Blalock and Ronald of Mineola, Kim Boyd and Hunter of Longview.
