Quitman Library Connections
QPL Summer Reading 2019 is happening the entire month of June, and we will discover “A Universe of Stories!” Fun activities are planned for each Wednesday, so stop by the library for your game card. Prizes will be awarded on June 26, so get that game card filled up.
Jim Kinsel from Workforce Solutions of East Texas will be at the Quitman Public Library on Friday, June 7 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. to assist job-seekers. No appointment is necessary.
The 2nd Friday Acoustic Jam at the Quitman Public Library on Friday, June 14 from 6-9 p.m. Musicians of all ages and musical levels are invited to join in with acoustical instruments only. Beginners are welcome to come early to workshop at 5 p.m. Listeners are always welcome to this free event. Contact Eugene Allen at 903-975-5745.
Notary service is available at the library during regular business hours but to guarantee an appointment, call 903-763-4191.

Patron cards are for Wood County residents with photo identification. A guardian must sign for children 5-17. Adult Services
Rebekah Yeager and Virginia Hoffpauir invite you to free crochet and knitting instruction each Thursday 2 – 4 p.m. in the library’s main lobby. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
Online GED test preparatory registration and course assistance is available Thursdays (language arts) and Fridays (mathematics) from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Children’s Services
QPL Story Time is on break until Sept. 25. Special thanks to Peoples Telephone for sponsoring QPL Story Time crafts and activities.
