Quitman Pilot Club names Trinity Purdin Student of Month
The Pilot Club of Quitman has selected Trinity Purdin as the student of the month for December 2018.
Purdin has lived in Quitman for 13 years. She is an eighth-grader at Quitman Junior High, where she is a member of the FFA. She has participated in UIL spelling and history. Trinity participates in the band, athletics, cheer and volleyball. She has not decided where she wishes to attend college but is planning to attend college to become a surgeon.
This award recognizes eighth-grade students at Quitman Junior High School who have demonstrated good academics, involvement in the school, and involvement in the community.
Quitman Pilot Club is an all-volunteer group with the stated mission of providing education for the prevention of traumatic brain injury, and offering services to those suffering from brain related disorders, such as Alzheimer’s, stroke, and autism. Bicycle safety, scholarships, Project LifeSaver and Special Olympics are just a few of those efforts so important to the health, safety and quality of life for our community members.
