Lt. Investigator John Farmer received a case regarding injury to a child. Photographs of the child revealed bruises in several areas. This investigation is ongoing.

Officer Linda Williams took a report from a landlord of damages to one of his properties, including a broken window, broken window screen and damaged front porch light. The complainant also stated he wished to have a criminal trespass warning issued to the female tenant who was suspected of causing the damages. 

Oct. 14

Lt. Mike Chilson closed a theft case regarding a gas drive off at Super Stop. The manager reported that the suspect had later returned and paid for the fuel.

Officer Corbin Hanner took a theft report from a resident of Conger Street. The woman stated three vapes and her wallet had been stolen. The woman gave information regarding who she believed had taken her property. This case has been forwarded for investigation.

School Resource Officer Jim Rapp and Cpl. Austin Milbourn attempted to locate a juvenile runaway who was last seen by a school employee at 9 a.m. The juvenile was located at Bud Moody Stadium. This case has been referred to Juvenile Probation.

Lt. Chilson took a scam report from a resident who stated he had been scammed out of $1,000 after he was advised by unknown suspects that he needed to “obtain a new software license” for his computer. The man was advised to contact the credit bureaus and place a fraud alert on his accounts. 

Oct. 15

Lt. Investigator John Farmer closed a theft case after the complainant called to say that the two guns he had reported stolen had been located at his residence. 

Lt. Investigator Farmer obtained a felony theft warrant for Tommy L. Boswell, 41, of Grand Saline after Boswell failed to return a tractor and trailer which he had borrowed. The complainant had been attempting to get his property back for over three months. The tractor and trailer were recovered with the help of Grand Saline Police Dept. A warrant will also be obtained for Boswell’s wife, Alyssa Kaye Boswell, 39, also of Grand Saline. The investigation revealed the woman was an accomplice. 

School Resource Officer Rapp was notified that a juvenile female had received a note which contained a death threat. The note was allegedly written by a student from another school. Further investigation revealed the student had written the note herself. The girl was counseled regarding the seriousness of her actions.
