December  9

Officer Hanner and Lt. Chilson responded to the UT Health Quitman E.R. for a physical disturbance at 5:45 a.m. Officers spoke to the E.R. staff who advised that while trying to take blood from a white female patient she became extremely agitated, combative and began having a loud outburst. The E.R. staff told officers this was causing a disruption in the E.R., disturbing other patients. Officers tried to speak to the woman, but she appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and would not cooperate. Due to the woman’s loud outburst and failure to calm down, Hanner arrested Deborah Gutierrez for disorderly conduct. Officers transported Gutierrez to the Wood County Jail for book in.
