The Quitman Police Department answered 303 calls for service between Sept. 1-25. The department issued 37 traffic citations and 79 traffic warnings, two criminal trespass warnings and took 16 reports. Police made two warrant arrests and one on-site arrest.
September 21
Robby Moseley was arrested on two warrants after Officer Joe Andrade was dispatched to a disturbance in the 800 block of N. Winnsboro St. Moseley was arrested on warrants for burglary of building and abuse of a corpse after he removed ashes from a cremation box. Moseley was transported to Wood County Jail and booked in.
September 22
Officer Joe Andrade arrested Ruben Villa for public intoxication in the 400 block of S. Main St. and was transported to Wood County Jail and booked in.
