Quitman student selected for membership in scholar’s society
Kathryne A. Wood of Mineola, a Quitman High School student, has been selected for membership in the National Society of High School Scholars.
The society recognizes top scholars who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship and community commitment.
The society has 1.5 million members in 170 countries.
The organization provides lifetime membership to young scholars to support their growth and development and “aims to help students like Kathryn build on their academic success by connecting them with unique learning experiences and resources to help prepare them for college and meaningful careers,” said President James W. Lewis.
