Quitman senior and tennis athlete Diego Flores signed his national letter of intent to become a collegiate athlete at Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio. Flores has been one of Quitman’s best varsity tennis players this season making it to the Region II finals this season in doubles. Heidelberg is an NCAA Division III school in athletics competing in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
Flores said he is excited about the opportunity. “I think the reason I chose Heidelberg over the other colleges is because they wanted me to go there. They got me a lot more money through their financial aid department,” Flores said. “It’s a lot further from home than the schools in Kansas that made offers, but I wanted to go to a school that really wanted me and they really seemed to want me to come there.”
