Reese Wade Whitman, April 3, 1973 – October 2, 2019. It is with much pain and sorrow; we announce that Reese Wade Whitman, age 46, our most beloved son, brother and family member passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at home in Tyler, Texas. A celebration of Reese’s life, for family, friends and other’s whose lives Reese touched will be announced at a later date.

Most importantly, Reese was a child of our Lord God, he was baptized at church camp when he was 12. Reese loved so many and was loved by so many more.  He had an energy, that with even one encounter with him, you would remember him for life.

He had an immeasurable goodness about him, it enabled his capacity to bring happiness to others.  He had a heart for people who suffered and helped so many. Those who knew Reese, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives, may his example of kindness and compassion for others carry on in your heart through deeds and actions towards others.

Reese began riding a dirt bike at age 8 and so began his love for motocross.  He would travel miles to ride and everyone at the track were instantly drawn to his infectious laugh and sense of humor which made him so very special for this sport. He also had a passion for fishing, Reese was always looking for that perfect fishing hole.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Whitman and his sister, Susan Johns.

Reese, we will miss you, and treasure the memories of time spent with you, Your Loving Family, his parents, Rita and Jimmy Johns; sister Kami Whitman Fuchs and Family; brother, Kyle Johns and Family; aunt, Wanda Whitman Flusche and Family; aunt, Pauletta Lapsley and Family, and the host of friends you leave behind to honor your memory.

In lieu of flowers, donations made are asked to be made in Memory of Reese Wade Whitman to CS Pantry, P.O. Box 1116, Quitman, Texas 75783.

The world is a lesser place without him.  We love you Reese, forever and ever.
