Richard Doyle Vis, 1943-2021

Richard Doyle Vis of Mineola passed away on Nov. 10, 2021 at age 78.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Olivia Grace Vis, to whom he was married to for 25 years, and parents, Harvey Vis and Irene Doyle Vis. He is survived by two sisters, Diana Vis Walker and husband Neil of Sedona, Ariz. and Sharon Stotts of Mineola; and two stepsons, Terry Stewart and wife Barbara of Mineola and Mark Stewart of West Lake, Calif.

Richard was a member of the Broad Street Church of Christ and was a faithful member of their Handicap Ramp Ministry. Active in many things, he was also a member of the Mineola League of Arts and the Mineola Railers Square Dance Club.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Broad Street Church of Christ on Feb. 26, 2022 at 10 a.m.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
