RICHARD JERREL HORN

Richard Jerrel Horn, 79, of Lindale died Nov. 18, 2018. Jerrel was born Jan. 16, 1939, in Red River County, Texas, and graduated from Mineola High School in 1957. He married Lynda McDonald Horn on July 3, 1958 and moved to Garland. After several years in the Garland area, they moved to Lindale in 1968, where they raised their three daughters.

Jerrel was preceded in death by his loving wife Lynda Horn, parents Elbert Marshall and James Faye Dodd Horn of Mineola and brother William “Bill” Horn of Mineola. He is survived by son-in-law and daughter, Jerry and Cheryl Terry of Lindale; son-in-law and daughter, Carey and Cyndi Stripling of Lindale; son-in-law and daughter, Terry and Laura Mebane of Bullard; his brother and sister-in-law, Elbert “Buddy” and Joan Horn of Mineola; and sister, Bonnie Hughes of Mineola. He also is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, in-laws and nieces and nephews.

His celebration of life was held at the old family home site on Hwy 849 on Sunday, Nov. 25.
